How do I get services from Amigo Baby?
If you have concerns regarding your child’s development and your child is under 36 months (3 years) please contact us or contact your local Regional Center.
How does my child qualify for services?
Your child will be evaluated by a child development specialist to determine whether the delay qualifies for services under the Early Start program. If your child qualifies, an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) will be developed by the service coordinator with input from the family and services will be assigned.
Where will services take place?
Services will be provided in the child’s natural environment. This includes any place your child typically spends their time (park, public library, home, daycare, etc.)
Can siblings be present during therapy?
Services are intended to be inclusive; which means that siblings can participate when appropriate for you childs development. Specific situations can be discussed with your assigned team to make sure that the services are as successful as possible.
What happens if I have to cancel a session?
We understand that families are busy, children get sick, and sometimes a session has to be rescheduled. In the event you have to cancel a session, we request the curtesy of contacting us as soon as possible. We will make every attempt to make that session up as soon as possible and we are happy to work with the family on finding the best solutions for any scheduling conflict.
