If you have concerns regarding your child’s development and your child is under 36 months (3 years) please contact us or contact Tri-Counties Regional Center.
Your child will be evaluated by a child development specialist to determine whether the delay qualifies for services under the Early Start program. If your child qualifies, an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) will be developed by the service coordinator with input from the family and services will be assigned.
Services will be provided in the child’s natural environment. This includes any place your child typically spends their time (park, public library, home, daycare, etc.)
Siblings are welcome in therapy sessions, as they are a part of the child’s natural environment. We recognize that for a parent to best apply information learned in a session, the methods must be provided in the typical environment that the parent will administer the technique. In some cases, arrangements will be made to provide sessions for the child away from siblings when this is deemed necessary for the child’s best interest.
We understand that families are busy, children get sick, and sometimes a session has to be rescheduled. In the event you have to cancel a session, we request the curtesy of contacting us as soon as possible. We will make every attempt to make that session up as soon as possible and we are happy to work with the family on finding the best solutions for any scheduling conflict.
